BEFORE YOU START

A few good questions.

Do I have to move my contracts?

No. Your originals stay in Google Drive. TermAhead stores a text snapshot and the details needed to track the contract. It is not a replacement for your document storage.

Which documents can I use?

Google Docs, text-based PDFs, DOCX and TXT files, up to 10 MB and 120,000 extracted characters per import. Scanned PDFs need text recognition before import. Essentials supports 50 tracked contracts; Pro supports 150 across up to five users.

Does TermAhead decide my deadlines for me?

No. You review the source and confirm critical dates before monitoring starts. Relative dates, amendments and notice requirements need your judgment. TermAhead provides administrative reminders, not legal advice.

Can I customize the reminders?

Yes. Choose reminder offsets and a timezone, and keep the ready-made message or customize the wording. You can also add a workspace name, logo and brand color.

Is this already a Google Workspace add-on?

The current private pilot uses a web workspace connected to Google Drive. A native Drive sidebar is in development and is not yet available for Marketplace installation.

What happens when a contract changes?

TermAhead does not continuously re-read Drive files. Open the original, update the saved dates, and verify them again. Reminders follow your latest confirmed schedule.
